10. School Construction Updates at Pinon Elementary School and Chamisa 
Elementary School 
Superintendent Guy informed the Board that the majority of work at Pinon 
Elementary will be complete by July 30 and at Chamisa Elementary by August 3.  
The minor work at Chamisa will be completed by August 30. 
 Both campuses now feature freshly installed sod and native landscaping.   These 
areas are protected by temporary fencing with irrigation running on automatic 
timers.  Open areas at both schools are planted with a native, waterwise seed 
mix.  This mix is the same specification used by Los Alamos National Laboratory. 
Each site has a state-required retaining pond.  The Board expressed safety 
concerns regarding the ponds.  Superintendent Guy will send more detailed 
information to board members.

Board members did not have any updates for committee meetings at this time.
